Any ideas or advice on financial aid or loans?

My 17 yr old daughter is off to college this coming Fall. She has done the FASA, and applied for scholarships via college and high school and still falls short of what she needs for tution. We have tried banks for loans and have been turned down (father and I are struggling with high utilities and mortgage, lay-offs, and workrelated injury). Where else can we look for grants, loans and/or scholarships and not be robbed blind? She took Honor and AP classes and maintain a GPA of 3.9 throughout High School
you probably applied for fafsa early this year. if all that stuff you said changed as in lay offs and injuries, you should go to your daughters college or do it through the internet and update information if you can. I would suggest calling her schools financial aid office and asking what you should do. there is always money out there. she can also talk to her school advisor and ask them for advice if there are programs she can sign up for that pay for her books or give a scholarship. if not then you got to make her get a summer job. luckily i think you can pay each semester if you do not have enough to pay the whole year at once.
