Going back 2 College?

Hey...well I was in college for 2 semester but i had so many problems. i went in with an average higher than 3.0 n had a 2,000 scholarship for each semester..not much but helped a lot plus financial aid covered all my expenses and tuition... I have always been a great student but starting college was just so hard,, i had many family problems and stress n just couldnt focus on school... I used to do fine in class participation but when tests came i did horrible except in math and speech communications everything else was c-, d and last semester 2 F's...the point is that my gpa was below 2.0 (HORRIBLE) n i just stopped going 2 school.. Now 2 semesters have passed and I really want to go back.. things have gotten better n i am very determined to obtain my education.. I dont know what i have 2 do .i want to go 2 another college in this case another CUNY College in New York-But im not sure if its possible because i just stopped attenting school without noticing the school at all..what 2 do?

Answer:
if u have below a 2.0 u will probably be admitted on probation. Retake the courses u failed..that will help ur GPA a LOT.. Take advantage of the free tutors and labs.. U may have to appeal to get ur financial aid..since u quit before the sem over. (u have lost ur scholarship)..don't feel bad that u have done so bad..My 1st sem.. my GPA was less than 1.0.. Schools understand that things happen just don't ever quit attending class...always drop the proper way.. it will really screw u up if u don't. NEVER be afraiid to ask for help..the admissions office can tell you the best thing to do since we don't know the circumstances..of y u quit.. GL
As long as you have your bills paid from the college that you did go to, you shouldn't have any problems getting into another college. If you had that many problems in a big college, try a community college first, then transfer to a bigger college later. It helps a lot.
Get your crap together and go back. I've pulled the same sh-t-hardest part is going back, admit you did wrong-get some probation and do your thing/ read my (best answers) for some more details.and good luck--it's never too late/ I was out a very long time/ and I can appreciate things now! Success is not solely measured by your education, but it's better to have the best of both worlds!
