There is this scholarship I kind of wanted to do but they say "Each year we award scholarships to college-bound Houston Area students of color to assist them during the first semester of their freshman year.". Do I necessarily have to be African American to be considered a student of color or do I just have to be non-white? Thanks for your input.
you are callin yourself brown nymph
even if you are just very tan, go for it I think
once you are minority , it tends to stick, maybe you have to have curly hair to get away with it
Non-White. Get ready for the backlash you'll receive for asking this. Good luck in school.
If your not white your colored
Just go for it. If you don't apply then you know for certain that you won't be the happy recipient of the scholarship. If you do apply then maybe good things happen.
maybe you should write the scholarship people a letter asking what they consider to be colored..instead of wasting time asking us... but good luck
