I am a rookie CPA and would like to author a CPA review text. Where can I search for funds to publish the text
Answer:
I'm impressed by your ambition, but as a "rookie CPA" you probably don't have the credentials needed to publish a review text.
Publishing a book (and related software) is typically done by established publishing companies, especially in a narrow field like accounting. Getting a book published is not easy, and without your having substantial experience in the field, or a "name" brand employer, you don't have much of a chance of finding a publisher.
If a publisher does give you a contract, you don't need to "obtain funding" for the project, as they will pay you an advance, with royalties to come as the book's sales reach a certain level.
Your question about finding funding indicates that you may be considering "self-publishing" this book and software. While this is possible, you don't have the network of distribution that is needed to make the book a success. Most self-published books are funded by the author, or by friends of the author.
My best advice is to work on this review text from time to time, make it as good as possible. Later, when you are no longer a "rookie CPA," take it to the publishing world. If it's picked up, they will take care of the software end of it.
Good luck.
