How can i pick up digital cable channels without a cable box?

I have an HD tv and connect my cable directly into the tv without a box. Are all digital broadcasts available? I have added some channels that have digital signals but i am missing most of the big ones (abc, nbc, cbs) any thoughts?

If you subscribe to digital cable, you should be able to get all the "clear" (unscrambled) channels through your TV (including locals).
If you need to get premium channels, you will need a TV with a Cablecard reader and you need to get a cablecard from your cable provider.
Contact your cable provider as to whether you can get local channels without a cable card.
