Are HD channels broadcast in 5.1 Dolby digital sound and can DirecTV's High Def DVR record and play in 5.1?

Are there any special hookups to get the Dolby digital sound besides my usually Dolby Digital home theatre receiver and speakers?

Answer:
All HD channels can broadcast in 5.1 surround sound. Do all programming? No. There are some programs that will only deliver in stereo, even if it is on a HD channel.

As for hookups, you will need a digital optical cable to send the audio to your receiver.
