Actually I am doing MA in History at JU. But so far as the job market is concerned my future seems to me bleak. The competitive exams are too much complicated and the time it takes to complete its procedure upto getting the appointment letter is too long! ( like a five year plan of Neheru ). Moreover there is a steef competition since this is the only option left for students of History and other Arts subjects. As I am very weak in Math I do not dare have high scores in exams like CAT, MAT, ICFAI or XAT. But I know that to survive in today's world one should have skills and informations and not wisdom. Also I do not have enough money to remain BINDAS ( cool & casual ) and have a "dont worry" love affair. My 10+2 course was Arts and hence I also afraid of taking a NIIT like computer course which I think essentially requires Sc background. I am confused, pliz help me out by giving a pragmatic answer... If I dont get a job on-campus, what is the possibility of getting it off-campus?

Your question became unclear the more I read. If you want to enrol for an MBA, you will need a first degree plus two years' work experience in a supervisory or managerial position. I teach MBAs in the UK and have seen how impossible it gets for students whose first degree is not in a business subject. They just don't have the necessary foundation to achieve the level of thinking ability required. My pragmatic advice is to forget about an MBA and look for other avenues for your knowledge, skills and abilities - and I am sure these are excellent in the area of history.
History courses teach you how to research and how to write well. Perhaps you should consider a career as a journalist, a creative writer of advertising copy, film scriptwriting, etc. After all, India has a huge film industry, a vast number of newspapers and numerous advertising agencies that need good people.
I hope this might help. Good luck with your career. Do not get downhearted. You have a lot more than many to help you already.
